Last week the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) conducted the judging of the annual APPAs (Australian Professional Photography Awards). I’m pleased to report that prints of two of my images received Silver awards!
One of these images was made during last year’s expedition to NZ’s subantarctic islands. We’re running another photography expedition to the same locations in December 2016 (there are still a couple of places available). The other image was made during this year’s Arctic Svalbard expedition (which we will be running again in June 2018).
The winners of each of the APPA categories can be found online. But there also were many other images in the competition, and it was very interesting to see the broad range of amazing images being assessed (the judging is always open to the public, including being streamed as online video).
