On our first Arctic LuminOdyssey photo workshop to Svalbard, we found this cave in the face of the Samarinbreen glacier.
The birds flying around are Kittiwakes, probably looking for fish in the water.
About 20 minutes after this photo was taken, large portions of the glacier face calved into the sea!
We may be revisiting this glacier in June when we’re on our 2016 Arctic LuminOdyssey. Right now there’s a place available (for one photographer plus optionally a non-photographer partner) to join us if you’re interested.
